Lubrifil
Oil lubrication of yarns on winding and doubling machines
LUBRIFIL is Nuova Rimates' patented system for oil-lubricating yarns on winding and doubling machines. The result of years of research and mill trials, it is patented in several countries.
It can be used alongside traditional solid waxing or in place of older oiling systems, with excellent results on all yarns: staple and filament synthetics, animal fibres such as silk and wool, and plant fibres such as linen and cotton, pure or blended.

For any yarn
LUBRIFIL works on every yarn, with no limit on count or colour. Drawing on tens of thousands of winding heads already equipped, Nuova Rimates supplies a ready-to-fit bracket kit for each machine.
Benefits
- Sharp reduction of loops (snarls) in doubling
- Higher productivity in twisting and downstream processes
- Better, longer-lasting yarn glide: fewer breaks on looms and knitting machines
- Less static charge, ideal for silk, wool and synthetics
- Less fluff and dust, especially on staple yarns
- Better yarn quality: strength, elongation, fewer thin and thick places and neps
- Minimal cleaning time on article or colour changes
How it works
- Uses the yarn's zig-zag traverse while the package is being wound
- The yarn runs over a special nylon/polyester fabric or stainless-steel element, and is lubricated only while moving
- More even, consistent oil distribution than solid wax
- Feed kit with 10-litre tank and self-levelling devices: needs no electricity or compressed air
- Can run in line with the waxing device: together they give extremely low yarn/steel friction
- Can be disabled at any time with a dedicated cover
