Steam chamber for yarn moisture regain
HUMY VAP is Nuova Rimates' chamber for restoring yarn moisture with steam and heat. It quickly brings yarn packages back to the correct moisture content, for every type of yarn.
Yarn that is too dry harms every downstream process, through to knitting machines, narrow fabrics, circular machines and looms. Treating yarn with HUMY VAP improves finished-product quality and machine productivity.

Full control of the cycle
The touch-screen controller sets cycle time, relative humidity and temperature, and shows a real-time trend graph. A signal tower indicates processing, end of cycle and alarms.
Benefits
- Removes static electricity from the yarn
- Softer hand on fibres and finished linen, cashmere and wool garments
- Fewer yarn breaks and better finished-product quality
- Higher yarn strength and elongation
- Less dust
- Yarn weight regained
Construction
- AISI 304 stainless-steel interior, base with acid-resistant epoxy coating; painted sheet-metal exterior
- Injected polyurethane insulation (43 kg/m³, 70 mm thick)
- 2 IP65 heating elements and IP65 tangential fan for air circulation
- Certified steam generator with automatic mains-water filling, aluminium diffuser with stainless nozzles, 4.5 bar safety valve
- AISI 304 stainless-steel internal creel; single or triple door closure
- Microprocessor calculating humidity and temperature every 2 seconds
